University of Uyo (UNIUYO) Approved Academic Calendar for the 2023/2024 Academic Session
The Management of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Akwa Ibom State has released the approved academic calendar for the 2023/2024 academic session.
2022/2023 academic session will commence on Monday 2nd October 2023.
Lectures will commence for all undergraduate and postgraduate students on Monday 2nd October 2023.
Orientation for new students – 16th to 20th October 2023.
The 1st semester examination for all studs will hold from January 15th to 2nd February 2024.
Second semester 2022/2023 academic session will commence on Monday 19th February 2024.
Second semester lectures for all undergraduate and postgraduate students – 19th February to 10th May 2024.
Second semester 2022/2023 examination for all students – 27th May to 14th June 2024.
2023/2024 academic session will commence on Monday 29th July 2024.
Below are the details of the academic calendar for the 2022/2023 academic session.

2 | 2nd October 2023 | Commencement of first semester 2022/2023 session |
3 | 2nd – 20th October 2023 | Registration without penalty |
4 | 12nd October – 22nd December 2023 | Lectures for all undergraduate / postgraduate students |
5 | 16th – 20th October 2023 | Orientation for new students |
6 | October 23rd –November 3rd 2023 | Registration with penalty for all students |
7 | December 23rd 2023 – January 5th, 2024 | Christmas break |
8 | 8th – 12th January 2024 | Revision exercise for 2022/2023 1st semester examination for all students |
9 | 15th January – 2nd February 2024 | 1st semester examination for all students |
10 | 5th – 16th February 2024 | First semester break |

11 | 19th February 2024 | Commencement of second semester 2022/2023 academic session |
12 | 19th February – 8th March 2024 | Registration without penalty |
13 | 11th – 22nd March 2024 | Registration with penalty |
14 | February 19th – 10th May 2024 | Lectures for all undergraduate / postgraduate students |
15 | 13th – 17th May 2024 | Students’ week |
16 | 20th – 24th May 2024 | Revision exercise for 2022/2023 2nd semester examination for all students |
17 | May 27th – 14th June 2024 | Second semester examination for all students |
18 | 17th June 26th July 2024 | Long vacation for all students |
19 | 17th – 26th July 2024 | Commencement of 1st semester 2023/2024 academic session |
