Kwara State Polytechnic Approved Amended Academic Calendar for Second Semester 2025/2026 Session

The management of Kwara State Polytechnic has officially published the approved amended academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session. This comprehensive schedule outlines key academic activities, including registration, lectures, tests, examinations, and breaks for both full-time and part-time students.
According to the Office of the Registrar, the updated calendar is designed to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated academic session while maintaining the institution’s commitment to academic excellence. Students across all programmes are strongly advised to take note of the important dates and adhere strictly to the schedule to avoid missing critical academic activities.
The first semester is set to commence in October 2025 with registration for new students, followed by lectures for both fresh and returning students. Continuous assessments and examinations have also been strategically scheduled to allow adequate preparation time. The session will include a Christmas and New Year break before academic activities resume in January 2026.
For the second semester, all students are expected to resume in April 2026, with lectures and assessments running through mid-year. Examinations are scheduled for August 2026, after which SIWES (Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme) will begin for eligible students.
Part-time students will proceed into the third semester, which begins in August 2026 and concludes in November 2026, covering lectures, examinations, and result processing.
Students are encouraged to stay updated with official announcements and ensure full compliance with registration timelines, lecture schedules, and examination dates. Proper planning using this calendar will help students manage their academic workload effectively and avoid unnecessary setbacks.
