NUBESS Fidei Polytechnic Gboko Holds Second General Meeting, Reaffirms Commitment to Students’ Welfare

The National Union of Benue State Students (NUBESS), Fidei Polytechnic Gboko Chapter, has successfully held its second general meeting under the leadership of its President, Rt. Comr. Abaver Abraham.
The meeting, held on June 29, 2026, attracted a large turnout of members, departmental executives, and student leaders who gathered to discuss issues affecting the union and chart a course for greater unity and progress.
Addressing members, the NUBESS President, Rt. Comr. Abaver Abraham, expressed appreciation for their unwavering support, commitment, and active participation in the affairs of the union. He commended members for their dedication and encouraged them to remain united in advancing the objectives of the association.
He also directed students who attended the meeting to visit the NUBESS office from Monday through Friday to collect their official NUBESS receipts free of charge, describing the exercise as part of the union’s efforts to improve record-keeping and member engagement.
The meeting was graced by the President of the CTS, HRM Orchivirigh Zaki Tyover Abraham (Tor-Tiv), Fidei Polytechnic Gboko, who emphasized the importance of unity, cooperation, and active participation among Benue State students within the institution.
In his remarks, the CTS President encouraged students to remain committed to activities that promote peace, leadership, and collective development. He also directed all National Diploma (ND I) students present at the meeting to visit his office, complementing the directives earlier issued by the NUBESS President.
Departmental presidents, student representatives, and other stakeholders contributed to discussions during the meeting, offering constructive suggestions aimed at strengthening the union, improving student welfare, and promoting effective representation.
The general meeting concluded on a positive note, with members expressing confidence in the current leadership and commending the administration for its commitment to transparency, accountability, unity, and the overall welfare of Benue State students at Fidei Polytechnic Gboko.
The leadership of NUBESS reaffirmed its resolve to continue implementing initiatives that will enhance students’ interests, foster collaboration among members, and contribute to a vibrant and progressive student community within the institution.
