Kaduna Polytechnic Architecture Students Light Up FYB Week with Jalabiya and Garri Day Celebration


Students of the Department of Architecture, ND II class, under the College of Environmental Studies, School of Environmental Design at Kaduna Polytechnic, brought energy and creativity to their FYB Week celebration with a vibrant Jalabiya Day themed “Garri Day.”
The event showcased a unique blend of cultural expression and student lifestyle, as participants turned out in stylish jalabiya outfits while celebrating the popular Nigerian staple, garri. The atmosphere was lively, reflecting unity, creativity, and the dynamic spirit of architecture students.
FYB Week, known for promoting bonding and social engagement among students, continues to provide a platform for relaxation outside the academic environment. This year’s Jalabiya and Garri Day stood out for its originality, cultural touch, and the strong participation of students.
The celebration highlights the importance of balancing academic rigor with social interaction, as students continue to build lasting connections and memorable experiences throughout their academic journey.
