Federal Polytechnic Ohodo Introduces ₦20,000–₦50,000 Staff Welfare Support Through Obini Foundation

Staff members of Federal Polytechnic Ohodo are set to benefit from a new welfare initiative introduced by the Dr. Obini Foundation, a philanthropic organization established by the institution’s Registrar, Dr. Obini Onuchukwu.

According to an official notice issued by the Polytechnic, the welfare package tagged “Staff Welfare Token Support” is designed to assist staff members during important family celebrations and life events.

Under the initiative, every staff member celebrating a birthday will receive a cash gift of ₦20,000, while staff members who welcome a newborn child will be supported with ₦30,000.

The Foundation also announced a special childbirth support package for couples who are both employees of the Polytechnic. Such couples will receive ₦50,000 upon the birth of a child.

The management stated that the welfare scheme will officially take effect from June 1, 2026, and urged all staff members to cooperate with procedures that may be introduced for accessing the support.
