Good News for Students as OGITECH Slashes CBT Requirement to 60% Fees Payment

The Management of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH), formerly known as Gateway ICT Polytechnic, has approved the payment of 60 percent of school fees as a condition for students to participate in the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
This was disclosed in an internal memorandum issued by the Academic Affairs Office of the institution on January 22, 2026. The memorandum, referenced OGITECH/AA/STD-008/001, was addressed to all students of the institute.
According to the memo, the approval followed a request made by students seeking consideration to be allowed to sit for the CBT after paying part of their school fees. The Management, described as having “graciously approved” the request, agreed that students who have paid at least 60 percent of their school fees would be eligible to write the CBT.
However, the institution emphasized that all outstanding and mandatory fees must be fully paid before the commencement of the First Semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.
The Management advised students to take advantage of the approval while ensuring full compliance with the institution’s financial regulations within the stipulated time.
