Federal Polytechnic Idah Bans Unauthorized Social Activities on Campus

Federal Polytechnic, Idah has issued a strong warning against unauthorized social activities within the institution, stating that any event held without proper approval will attract disciplinary action.
The directive was contained in an internal memo dated May 19, 2026, and signed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Engr. Omagu F. E.
According to the memo, the management and Directorate of Student Affairs observed that some unauthorized social activities were being organized on campus without approval from the Dean of Student Affairs and recommendation from the Director of Social (DOS) of the Student Union Government.
The institution stressed that all unauthorized social activities across departments, schools, and levels are strictly prohibited.
The memo further warned that any group of students found violating the directive would be dealt with accordingly.
Students were advised to obtain permission and approval from the Dean of Student Affairs through the Directorate of Social of the Student Union Government before organizing any social activity on campus.
The Polytechnic community was also encouraged to report any abnormal or unusual student activities to the Directorate of Student Affairs.
The memo was copied to the Rector, Deputy Rector (Academic), Registrar, Bursar, Polytechnic Librarian, Deputy Registrar (PR&PU), the Polytechnic Community, and the Student Union Government (SUG).
