Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Approved Academic Calendar for 2025/2026 Session

The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, has released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session, covering both the first and second semesters.

According to the Registrar’s office, the first semester begins on Sunday, October 19, 2025, with registration for fresh and returning students scheduled from October 20 to November 22, 2025. Lectures for ND I, HND I, and HND II students will commence on November 24, 2025, while ND II students are to resume on December 15, 2025.

The semester also includes a Christmas and New Year break from December 22, 2025, to January 2, 2026, and orientation/matriculation ceremonies on January 14, 2026. The semester examinations will hold between March 16 and April 4, 2026.

For the second semester, academic activities will begin on April 12, 2026, with lectures running for 13 weeks. Other key activities include Students’ Union Week, lecture-free week, examinations (July 27 to August 15, 2026), and commencement of SIWES on August 17, 2026.

The calendar also outlines script marking, result considerations, and staff leave schedules, ensuring effective planning for the academic year.
