The management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa (FEDPOFFA) has officially released the approved academic calendar for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The calendar, approved at the Academic Board meeting held on Monday, 27th October 2025, outlines all key academic activities including resumption date, registration period, lectures, matriculation, orientation, examinations, and convocation ceremonies.

This vital information will guide both fresh and returning students in planning ahead for the new academic session to ensure they don’t miss any important date or school activity.

Resumption Date and Registration Details

According to the released schedule, hostel facilities will open to students on Sunday, 7th December 2025, to allow early arrivals to settle in before lectures begin.

Freshers and returning students are to resume officially on Monday, 8th December 2025, which also marks the commencement of registration for all National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students.

The registration exercise will last for four weeks and end on Friday, 2nd January 2026. Students who miss this period will still be allowed to register during the late registration window, which runs from Monday, 5th to Friday, 9th January 2026.

Students are strongly advised to complete their registration on time to avoid penalties or exclusion from lectures. Departmental clearance and payment of school fees should also be completed within this period.

Commencement of Lectures and Academic Board Activities

Lectures will officially begin on Monday, 22nd December 2025, alongside the resumption of SIWES students. This means that by late December, academic activities will be in full swing across all departments.

The Academic Board Meeting for results consideration is scheduled for Tuesday, 16th December 2025.

Convocation, Orientation, and Matriculation Dates

The Convocation Ceremony for graduating students will take place on Thursday, 12th February 2026, where certificates will be awarded to deserving ND and HND graduates.

For newly admitted students, the Orientation Programme will hold from Monday, 16th February to Friday, 20th February 2026, introducing freshers to campus life, academic rules, and departmental regulations.

The Matriculation Ceremony, marking the official admission of new students into the Federal Polytechnic Offa, is scheduled for Thursday, 26th February 2026.

End of Lectures, Revision Week, and Examination Schedule

The institution has fixed Friday, 14th March 2026 as the official end of lectures for the first semester, after a total of 14 weeks of academic activities.

A one-week revision period will follow from Monday, 16th March to Friday, 20th March 2026, giving students ample time to prepare for examinations.

Practical examinations will then hold from Monday, 23rd March to Friday, 27th March 2026.

After that, the main first semester examinations are scheduled to begin on Monday, 30th March 2026, and end on Friday, 17th April 2026, spanning three weeks.

Second Semester Resumption

After the first semester break, all students are to resume for the second semester on Monday, 20th April 2026.
