Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa Approved Academic Calendar for the 2025/2026 Session

The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, has released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the official schedule signed by the Acting Registrar, Sakirat Olamijumoke Johnson, the new session begins on Monday, September 29, 2025, with registration of fresh students. Returning students are expected to register between October 13 and October 17, 2025.

The first semester will include major events such as fresher’s orientation, OGITECH annual lecture, convocation, matriculation, and fresher’s cup competition. Lectures will run for 14 weeks, and the semester will end with examinations scheduled from February 23 to March 13, 2026.

The second semester is set to commence on April 13, 2026, and will last until August 21, 2026, after which SIWES begins. The semester features sporting activities, Students’ Union Week, and examinations for all students.

For part-time students, OGITECH has drawn up specific timetables. Evening part-time students will resume their third semester on August 24, 2026, while weekend part-time students begin on August 21, 2026. Both categories will round off the session with examinations in September and December respectively.

This structured academic timetable provides clear direction for students and staff to plan their activities effectively throughout the academic year.
