The Management of Kano State Polytechnic has reaffirmed its commitment to institutional growth and strategic leadership collaboration following a high-level courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chairman of the Governing Council.
Led by the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA, the Polytechnic’s management team paid a visit to His Highness, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, Sarkin Gaya, at the Gaya Emirate Council. The visit underscores the institution’s proactive approach to strengthening governance, enhancing academic excellence, and fostering sustainable development within the Polytechnic system.
During the meeting, both parties engaged in productive discussions centered on key priorities for the advancement of Kano State Polytechnic. Areas of focus included academic innovation, infrastructural development, staff welfare, and strategies to boost the institution’s national ranking among top polytechnics in Nigeria.
In his remarks, the newly appointed Governing Council Chairman expressed his readiness to work closely with the management team to reposition the Polytechnic for greater impact. He emphasized the importance of unity, transparency, and forward-thinking leadership in achieving the institution’s long-term vision.
The Rector, on behalf of the management, reiterated the institution’s dedication to supporting the Council Chairman in delivering effective governance and policy direction. He noted that the visit reflects a shared commitment to collaboration, which is essential for driving institutional reforms and achieving excellence in technical and vocational education.
