The Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi community has been plunged into mourning following the death of Mr. Amagyam Goodluck Gideon, an ND I student of the Department of Computer Science, who reportedly passed away after a brief illness.

The heartbreaking news has left students, lecturers and members of the institution in deep grief, with many paying tribute to the young student whose academic journey was cut short.

A condolence message released by the Student Senator representing the Computer Science Department, Comrade Gyang Ezra Yakubu, described the loss as a painful moment not only for the department but for the entire Polytechnic community.

According to the statement, the Computer Science Department extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his loved ones, classmates and friends, praying that God grants them the strength to cope with the irreparable loss.

The department noted that although Mr. Amagyam Goodluck Gideon’s time at the institution was brief, he will be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing and interacting with him.

Students have continued to express sadness over the tragic development, describing his passing as a painful reminder of how fragile life can be. Messages of sympathy and prayers have continued to pour in from fellow students across the institution.

The condolence message also prayed for Almighty God to grant the departed student eternal rest while comforting everyone affected by the tragedy.
