IMAP Librarian Dr. Maifata Tours Library, Pledges Better Learning Resources for Students

In a move aimed at enhancing student access to quality learning resources, Dr. Nurudeen M. Maifata, the immediate past Acting Rector and current Polytechnic Librarian of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, has carried out a detailed inspection of the institution’s library facilities.
Dr. Maifata, a seasoned academic and certified librarian (CLN, MNLA, FIICA), toured all divisions of the polytechnic’s library to evaluate available learning materials and assess the environment’s conduciveness for academic work.
Speaking during the inspection, he noted that the visit was crucial to identifying strengths and gaps in the library’s current setup. “We want to ensure our students have the right academic support and a space that encourages effective learning,” he said.
The inspection is part of Dr. Maifata’s broader commitment to transform the library into a hub for academic excellence. His focus remains on improving infrastructure, increasing resource availability, and creating a student-friendly learning space.
Students and staff are hopeful that this renewed attention to the library’s development will significantly boost the institution’s academic performance and reputation.
