Applications are now open for the 2026 intake of the Agricultural, Food and Environmental Policy Analysis (AFEPA) Master’s Programme. The programme offers fully funded and partially funded scholarships to outstanding candidates seeking advanced expertise in agricultural economics, food systems management and environmental policy. AFEPA is widely recognised as one of Europe’s leading graduate pathways for students committed to addressing global challenges such as food security, sustainable agriculture, climate resilience and natural resource governance.
About the AFEPA Master’s Programme
AFEPA is a two-year multidisciplinary Master’s programme delivered through a consortium of top European universities. It provides students with a deep understanding of agricultural, food and environmental policies from diverse academic perspectives. The programme includes rigorous coursework, applied research, and structured mobility across partner institutions.
Students are taught by internationally respected academics, policy experts and industry practitioners. The curriculum equips graduates with analytical, research and policy-oriented skills essential for careers in international development, public policy, environmental planning, agricultural consulting and academic research.
Scholarship Opportunities for 2026
The AFEPA consortium is offering four highly competitive scholarships for the 2026 academic session:
- Two full scholarships providing €1,400 per month for 24 months
- Two partial scholarships providing €700 per month for 24 months
Depending on the host university, scholarships may also include partial or full tuition coverage. Selection is based on academic excellence, motivation and commitment to solving global agricultural and environmental challenges. Awardees also gain access to international research networks, high-level policy engagement opportunities and cross-cultural academic exposure.

Eligibility Criteria
The scholarships are open to applicants worldwide. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as:
- Agricultural Economics
- Environmental Science
- Food Systems or Natural Resource Management
- Economics or Development Economics
- Public Policy or related fields
Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance and provide proof of English proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent tests. Candidates whose previous degree was fully taught in English may be exempt from submitting a language test.
