YABATECH Opens 2026/2027 Post UTME Screening Portal as Admission Begins, See Eligibility, Cut-Off Mark and How to Apply

The Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has officially announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post UTME Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into its Full-Time National Diploma (ND) programmes and B.Sc. (Education) in Technical Education programmes affiliated with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

According to the institution, the online application portal will remain open for four weeks from the date of publication, giving qualified candidates ample time to complete their registration.

To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must have selected YABATECH as their first-choice institution during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Applicants who initially chose the institution as their second or third choice are required to change it to first choice on the JAMB portal before applying.

The college also stated that candidates must have scored a minimum of 160 in the 2026 UTME to qualify for admission into both National Diploma (ND) programmes and the B.Sc. (Education) Technical Education programmes run in affiliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into the 200-level B.Sc. (Education) programmes are also expected to submit their applications through the college’s admission portal.

In addition, applicants must be at least 16 years old on or before September 30, 2026. Candidates who do not meet the age requirement have been advised not to apply, as they will not be considered for admission.

How to Apply for YABATECH Post UTME 2026/2027

Interested candidates are to visit the official YABATECH website and click on the “Post UTME Screening 2026/2027” link. Applicants should carefully follow all instructions provided on the portal to complete their registration.

The Post UTME screening application fee is ₦2,000, excluding result verification and other transaction charges. Payments can be made online or through designated banks, while cash payments will not be accepted.

Important Notice to Applicants

YABATECH has urged candidates to ensure that all personal information supplied during registration is accurate. Any false information or errors made by applicants may result in disqualification.

The institution also warned that inconsistencies in names or passport photographs across O’Level results, UTME records, and other admission documents will not be accepted and could affect a candidate’s admission.

Candidates are therefore advised to carefully review all information before submitting their applications to avoid unnecessary complications during the admission process.

Prospective students are encouraged to complete their applications well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues and ensure a smooth registration process.
