Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Releases 2026/2027 Departmental Cut-Off Marks for ND Admission, Mass Communication Tops List

The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, has officially released the minimum departmental benchmark scores for admission into its National Diploma (ND) Full-Time programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to an internal memo issued by the institution’s Admissions Committee, the benchmark scores serve as the minimum UTME requirements for candidates seeking admission into the Polytechnic’s various departments.
Among all the programmes, Mass Communication has the highest departmental cut-off mark at 200, making it the most competitive course for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
Other highly competitive programmes include Business Administration with a cut-off mark of 185, Computer Science with 181, Multimedia Technology with 180, Science Laboratory Technology with 180, Nutrition and Dietetics with 175, Accountancy with 171, Banking and Finance with 170, Public Administration with 170, Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 167, Marketing with 165, Civil Engineering Technology with 160, Mechanical Engineering Technology with 160, Crime Management with 160, and Computer Engineering with 160.
Several other programmes, including Agricultural Technology, Animal Health and Production Technology, Fisheries Technology, Horticultural Technology, Printing Technology, Insurance, Taxation, Maritime Transport and Business Studies, Renewable Energy Engineering Technology, Metallurgical Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geo-Informatics, Urban and Regional Planning, Library and Information Science, Music Technology, Office Technology and Management, Hospitality Management, Leisure and Tourism, Statistics, and many more, have a benchmark score of 150.
Candidates seeking admission into Federal Polytechnic Ilaro are advised to compare their 2026 UTME scores with the released departmental benchmark for their preferred course to determine their eligibility before proceeding with the admission process.
The Polytechnic urged prospective applicants to monitor its official admission portal for further updates on the Post UTME screening exercise, registration procedures, and other admission guidelines for the 2026/2027 academic session.
