The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, has officially announced the commencement of applications for its Upgrade Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. The programme is designed for qualified candidates seeking admission into National Diploma and Higher National Diploma accredited courses offered by the institution.
The admission exercise targets former students of the Polytechnic who previously graduated with a Pass grade and are interested in improving their academic results to meet current Polytechnic standards and career requirements.
Purpose of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Upgrade Programme
The Upgrade Programme was introduced in response to community demand to provide an opportunity for graduates who completed their National Diploma or Higher National Diploma programmes at Pass level to upgrade their results.
According to the Polytechnic, the initiative aligns with approved academic standards and aims to improve employability, academic progression, and professional competitiveness of graduates.
Admission Requirements for the Upgrade Programme
Applicants must have obtained their National Diploma or Higher National Diploma certificates at Pass level from the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi.
Candidates are also required to possess a minimum of five O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects. These credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
Only candidates who meet these requirements are eligible to apply for the 2025/2026 Upgrade Programme.
Duration and Mode of Lecture Delivery
The Upgrade Programme will run for one academic session only, which will be divided into two semesters.
Lectures will be delivered through a blended learning approach that combines physical classroom lectures and online teaching using approved digital platforms provided by the institution.
How to Apply for Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Upgrade Programme
Interested applicants are required to apply online through the official Federal Polytechnic Bauchi admission portal.
Applicants should log on to the Polytechnic’s website and click on Online Admission. After completing the required details, candidates are to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference for payment.
The non-refundable application form fee is six thousand five hundred naira only.
After making payment at the bank, applicants must return to the portal to complete their application using the application number and phone number used during registration.
Closing Date for Application
All applications must be completed and submitted online not later than six weeks from the date of publication of the admission advertisement.
Applicants are advised to complete their registration early to avoid disqualification due to late submission.
Official Confirmation
The admission announcement was officially signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Alhaji Kasimu Salihu.

Click on Online Admission, complete the application form, and generate a Remita Retrieval Reference for payment.
The application form attracts a non-refundable fee of six thousand five hundred naira only.
After payment, applicants must return to the same portal to complete their application using the application number and phone number provided during registration.
