The Polytechnic, Ibadan has officially matriculated 13,093 students into its various programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session, marking the formal entry of the new students into the institution.
At the ceremony, Acting Rector Dr. Taiwo Abidden Lasisi congratulated the students and urged them to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to their studies, stressing that personal effort is key to academic success.
Dr. Lasisi issued a stern warning against cultism, violence, thuggery, and other forms of indiscipline, emphasizing that the institution maintains a zero-tolerance policy. He noted that offenders face penalties ranging from suspension and expulsion to possible prosecution.
The Acting Rector also reminded students that payment of school fees alone does not confer student status, highlighting the importance of proper course registration.
Assuring the students of a supportive learning environment, Dr. Lasisi emphasized the availability of quality lecturers, libraries, and facilities. He also expressed gratitude to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his continuous support of the Polytechnic.
The management encouraged both students and parents to collaborate closely to ensure a successful and fulfilling academic journey.
