Auchi Polytechnic Bans Signing Out Activities for Graduating Students — Defaulters Face Sanctions

Graduating students of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi have been issued a stern reminder from the institution’s Students’ Affairs Division: the ban on all forms of “signing out” celebrations remains fully in effect.

In a memo dated 17th July, 2025, with reference number REG/SA/6/VOL.VI/194, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Y.O. Sadoh, reiterated that the directive initially issued on 30th January, 2025 still stands. The circular strictly prohibits any form of signing out activities — a popular tradition among final-year students.

“All graduating students are hereby advised to comply,” the memo warned, adding that defaulters will be sanctioned in accordance with the institution’s student handbook.

The circular has been circulated across faculties and departments, with copies sent to key offices including the Rector, Deputy Rector (Administration), and the Acting Chief Security Officer.
