ATAP BAUCHI ORGANIZES A ONE DAY TRAINING TO ENHANCE TACTICAL SKILLS OF CAMPUS SECURITY PERSONNEL

Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic Bauchi, has organized a training for its security personnel powdered by Tertiary education trust fund TETFUND with the theme “Enhancing professionalism and skills for Campus security operatives”.

Director career services Muhammad Auwal Sulaiman Said the one day workshop is part of measures to address Security challenges across the polytechnic to enhance its security architecture .

Abubakar Muhammadu reports that the workshop begins with the inspection of guard of honor by the rector of Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic Bauchi Hashim Sabo Bello represented by his Deputy Hajiya Alawiyya Musa

While declaring the workshop open for campus security operatives explained that the training is aimed at improving the capacity of the security personnel.

She added that the institution would soon be fenced as part of its effort to address security challenges in the polytechnic urging the participants to translate the knowledge gained during the practice.

Director career services Muhammad Auwal Sulaiman while appreciating the TETFUND for such intervention said the training is to equipping the participants with tactical skills in protecting life and properties of the students.

He mentioned four areas of the training which include, professional conduct and ethnics in campus security,conflict resolution and crises management, others are intelligent gathering and information sharing in campus security, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Speaking on behalf of the trainees, the acting chief Security officer Haruna Ibrahim assured of his men’s determination to put into practice what they have learnt calling on state government to formalize it’s casual officers.

it is hoped that capacity building workshop will enhance the campus security operatives that guarantee peace and security of the entire polytechnic.
