Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Establishes Students Consultative Forum to Strengthen Student Representation

The Students’ Union Government of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has officially announced the establishment of the Students Consultative Forum, a strategic initiative aimed at improving communication, inclusiveness, and effective representation within the institution.
According to the SUG leadership, the creation of the forum reflects the administration’s commitment to fostering participatory governance and ensuring that student voices are adequately heard in decision-making processes.
The Students Consultative Forum will comprise members of the Students’ Union executive alongside all departmental presidents, who will serve as core representatives. Other relevant stakeholders may also be invited when necessary to contribute to discussions on critical student-related matters.
The forum is designed to function as both a consultative and advisory body, providing a structured platform for identifying challenges across departments and proposing practical solutions that will enhance student welfare and academic progress.
Members are expected to actively engage by presenting issues affecting their respective departments while contributing meaningful ideas that support the overall development of the student community.
Details regarding the inaugural meeting of the Students Consultative Forum will be communicated to students in due course.
The announcement was signed by the President of the Students’ Union Government, Idris Mustapha Abubakar.
