ARC DABO FORMALLY PRESENTS REQUEST FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW PRIVATE UNIVERSITY TO NUC
The founder/CEO/Proprietor of the twins sisters institutions Arc Aminu Dabo has presented the final documents to support the application for the establishment of proposed Aminu Dabo University of Health Sciences, Kano to the National Universities Commission Abuja.
Presenting the documents during an impressive occasion at the National Universities Commission, NUC, headquarters in Abuja, Arc Aminu Dabo said the documents contained the relevant academic brief and physical master plan for its operation.
According to him, the documents of the proposed university were compiled in conformity with the basic requirements, provisions with state-of-the-art facilities that will lead to the graduation of qualified health personnel relevant to the needs of society.
Arc Aminu Dabo added that the university which will run as a private health institution was conceived as a result of encouraging accomplishments recorded in 6 years from the establishment of the succeeding two health colleges.
Arc Dabo, in the company of some high calibre of people and other stakeholders of the proposed university, said the mission is to produce high quality health and medical professionals with broad knowledge, skills and value.
He expressed hope that the commission will facilitate recommendation for its approval by the Federal Government in earnest so as to enable it to join the clubs of universities operating in the country.
He assured that if it comes into operation, the new university will build human capacity through qualitative education, which will be of great benefit to not only the indigenous of Kano but Nigerians as a whole.
While acknowledging the warm reception by the commission, Arc Aminu Dabo also appreciated the management of the commission for its continued assistance and guidance soliciting for further support and cooperation towards realising the set objectives.
Receiving the document, the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, NUC, Dr. Chris Maiyaki congratulated Arc Aminu Dabo, the promoter of the new university, for the initiative, maintaining that the project, if materialized, will be one of the great legacy to the promoter and families in life.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Dr Aliyu lsah Huang, former Minister of Health, Alh Abba Dabo, former Presidential Aide, Alh Ahmad Rabiu Chairman Dala inland Dry Port Nigeria, A.B.Mahmoud (SAN) and Al-Sheihk Shehu Uba Sharada Chairman Sharada Juma’at Mosque.
Also on the occasion were a number of professionals, friends, allies, associates, relatives and some top management staff of the two sisters colleges of health owed by Arc Aminu Dabo.
