VIDEO: UNIBEN Students Protest After sports Director Died Due to Negligence.

Students of the University of Benin have staged a demonstration following the death of the school’s director of sports.

Perez Boubouwei reportedly became ill on Sunday,  Jan. 22, and was taken to the school’s teaching hospital (UBTH) where he died on Tuesday morning, Jan. 24.

Students of the institution have now accused the health workers at the teaching hospital of negligence after Perez was admitted following complaints of stomach pain.

They claim the doctors insisted a deposit be made before they commenced treatment. When that was done, they reportedly began injecting him without conducting proper tests.

Students came out in their numbers to express their outrage at his death.
