OGITECH SUG Meets Management, Assures Students of Action on Welfare Issues


Ogun State Institute of Technology, Ogun State — The Student Union Government (SUG) of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, has announced progress following a meeting with the institution’s management over pressing issues affecting students.
In a press release dated April 25, 2026, the union disclosed that its leadership, alongside departmental presidents, held a meeting with the school authorities on April 23 to address concerns relating to student welfare, academic conditions, and the overall campus environment.
According to the statement signed by SUG President, Ilo Fadilu Temitope, and Public Relations Officer, Joseph Sunday Segbetin, the management gave a positive response and assured the students of prompt intervention.
The union noted that steps have already begun to address the issues raised, describing the development as a reflection of the institution’s commitment to student well-being.
Management Commended
The SUG also commended the school management for ongoing infrastructural development and improvements in student welfare. It highlighted recent upgrades in facilities across the campus as evidence of what it described as a progressive administration.
Special appreciation was extended to the Rector, Babatunde Oluseye, for his leadership and continued support toward institutional growth.
Academic Activities Ongoing
The union reminded students that academic activities for the new semester resumed on April 13, with lectures already in progress across departments. Students were urged to return to campus promptly, as attendance will be strictly monitored and considered part of the requirements for examination eligibility.
Commitment to Representation
Reaffirming its role, the SUG stated that it remains committed to representing the interests of the student body and maintaining a strong link between students and management.
The union assured students that their concerns will continue to be communicated effectively, while efforts are sustained to improve the overall academic and social environment on campus.
