BREAKING: Federal Polytechnic Ede SUG Halts All Alumni-Related Payments Indefinitely

In a significant development that affects graduating and former students, the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of The Federal Polytechnic Ede has officially suspended all alumni-related payments until further notice.
The directive, issued on April 5, 2025, affects payments such as:
- Clearance fees
- Statement of result fees
- Alumni registration
- Transcripts
- Any other alumni-associated fees
The announcement, released by the Revolution Crew of the SUG led by Comrade Ayanyemi Damilare Marvellous (popularly known as ROYAL), urges all students and cyber café operators to immediately cease all alumni-related transactions.
According to the union, the temporary halt is part of ongoing efforts to “address the issues surrounding alumni payments,” though no specific details were provided on what those issues are. The leadership promises to communicate further updates in due course.
The statement was also jointly signed by Comrade Olaniyi Matthew Temitope (ASIWAJU), SUG General Secretary, and Lady Comrade Babatunde Tawa Laide (MIDE), SUG Public Relations Officer.
Students are advised to stay alert for new information as the union works on resolving the matter.
