He noted that such excursions are essential components of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) curriculum and a key requirement for the award of National Diploma.
During the visit, students were taken on a guided tour of the studio, power room, and various operational sections of the radio station. The excursion aimed to expose them to core engineering concepts within the telecommunications and broadcasting sector. Among the key areas of knowledge covered were frequency modulation, mast and antenna interoperability, and signal synchronization.
Accompanying the students on the tour were staff members from the School of Engineering Technology: Mrs. Olatilu Aderonke, Mr. Saronee Festus, and Mr. Anifowose Azeez.
The excursion was a right step in the institution’s commitment to producing technically sound and industry-ready graduates.
