SUG Addresses Students Over Closure of Registration Portal at Kaduna Polytechnic

Kaduna, Nigeria — The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Kaduna Polytechnic has issued an official statement addressing concerns following the closure of the institution’s registration portal.
In a communication released by the union, students were reminded that multiple announcements had earlier been made, urging them to complete their registration within the stipulated deadline. The SUG emphasized that the portal closure aligns with the academic calendar approved by the institution’s management.
Despite this, the union acknowledged that some students were unable to meet the deadline and expressed concern over the situation. According to the statement, SUG leadership is currently in discussions with the school authorities to explore possible concessions in the interest of affected students.
A student representative, Aminu Abdulwahab, also appealed to the student body to remain calm and cooperative while efforts are ongoing to address the issue.
Students have been strongly advised to avoid spreading unverified information or engaging in actions that could cause panic within the academic community. The union assured that any new developments would be promptly communicated through official SUG channels.
Reaffirming its commitment, the SUG Executive Council stated that it remains dedicated to protecting and promoting the welfare of all students.
The statement was signed by Comrade Sulaiman Lawal Faskari, Public Relations Officer of the SUG, on behalf of the council.
