NEWLY ELECTED SUG PRESIDENT EXPRESSES GRATITUDE, CALLS FOR UNITY AT FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC BAUCHI

The President-elect of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Comrade Idris Mustapha Abubakar, has expressed profound gratitude to students following his emergence as the newly elected SUG President.
In an official statement released shortly after the election, Abubakar described his victory as a collective achievement, attributing it to the overwhelming support and belief of the student body.
“This victory is not mine alone—it belongs to every student who believed in this vision, supported this movement, and came out to make their voice count,” he stated.
The President-elect extended appreciation to his campaign team, supporters, friends, and well-wishers, acknowledging their sacrifices and commitment throughout the electoral process.
He also commended his fellow contestants for their participation, noting that their contributions strengthened the democratic process within the institution. According to him, all stakeholders now share a common responsibility to build a more effective and inclusive student union.
Abubakar further assured students that his administration would be guided by dedication, transparency, and a strong sense of purpose, promising not to take the mandate entrusted to him for granted.
He concluded by calling on all students to set aside differences and unite for the progress of the institution.
The newly elected leader emphasized his commitment to purposeful leadership and selfless service as he prepares to assume office.
