New EKSPOLY 2025/2026 Students Undergo ICT Training as Polytechnic Unveils Academic Rules and Campus Guidelines

Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, has commenced a comprehensive week-long orientation programme alongside ICT training for newly admitted students as part of efforts to integrate them into the academic, digital, and administrative culture of the institution.

The programme began on Monday, February 2, 2026, drawing a large turnout of fresh students from various schools and departments across the Polytechnic. It is designed to acquaint the new intakes with the institution’s academic regulations, campus lifestyle, core values, and expectations, while also equipping them with essential digital skills needed for effective learning in today’s technology-driven academic environment.

Declaring the programme open, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, represented by the Deputy Rector, Dr. E.A. Ajayi, congratulated the students on their successful admission and welcomed them into the Ekiti State Polytechnic community. He described their admission as a privilege that must be matched with discipline, focus, and a strong sense of purpose.

Speaking on behalf of the Rector, Dr. Ajayi urged the students to be law-abiding, vision-driven, and purposeful throughout their stay on campus. He emphasized that their conduct, both within and outside the institution, would shape public perception of the Polytechnic. He advised them to see themselves as ambassadors of Ekiti State Polytechnic and to always uphold the institution’s image.

He further noted that the Polytechnic remains committed to producing skilled, innovative, and morally upright graduates capable of competing effectively in the labour market and contributing meaningfully to national development. He encouraged the students to take full advantage of the orientation programme and ICT training as a solid foundation for their academic journey.

Goodwill messages were delivered by the Registrar, Mrs. A.Y. Adewunmi, and the Bursar, Mr. O.J. Awe, who both reiterated the importance of discipline, compliance with institutional guidelines, and responsible conduct.

Also addressing the students, the Head of Students’ Affairs, Mr. Babatunde Michael Ajayi, charged them to maintain high standards of behaviour and responsibility throughout their academic stay.

The first day of the orientation featured a series of lectures and interactive sessions facilitated by academic and administrative stakeholders of the institution.

The week-long programme will continue with additional sensitisation sessions, practical demonstrations, and engagements aimed at preparing the students for a productive and rewarding academic experience at Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti.
