RUGIPO’s Paramilitary Unit Enforces Student Dress Code

On Monday, February 10, 2025, the paramilitary unit of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO), intensified the enforcement of the institution’s dress code policy by initiating inspections as early as 7 a.m. This initiative aims to promote cultural decency and uphold respect within the academic environment.
The paramilitary team has been patrolling the school gate and premises to ensure students comply with the approved dress code. Students found violating the policy face immediate consequences, including being sent home or required to change into appropriate attire.
While some students have raised concerns over the strict implementation of the policy, others support it, acknowledging its role in maintaining discipline and fostering a respectable learning atmosphere. The paramilitary team is working closely with school administrators to ensure the smooth execution of the directive.
Despite mixed reactions, the enforcement exercise has remained orderly, with students and faculty cooperating. The institution’s management has urged all students to adhere to the dress code, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a professional and respectful educational environment.
