Kogi SUBEB Chairman Visits Kogi State Polytechnic Rector, Seeks Stronger Partnership in Education

The Chairman of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mallam Abdulrazaq Muhammad Yusuf, has paid a courtesy visit to the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salihu Sanusi Avidime, to strengthen collaboration aimed at improving education and human capital development in the state.
The visit focused on opportunities for strategic partnership between both institutions, particularly in enhancing the Kogi State Polytechnic Staff School through teacher capacity building, curriculum development, ICT integration and educational innovation.
The proposed collaboration is also expected to cover research and policy support, technical and vocational education initiatives, as well as programmes designed to create a seamless transition from basic to tertiary education.
Speaking during the visit, Mallam Abdulrazaq Muhammad Yusuf said the engagement reflects SUBEB’s commitment to building a strong institutional partnership with Kogi State Polytechnic to advance quality education across Kogi State.
According to him, closer collaboration between the two institutions will encourage knowledge sharing, improve educational outcomes and strengthen the pathway for students from basic education to higher learning.
The SUBEB Chairman also commended Professor Avidime for his early achievements in office and assured him of the Board’s continued support in advancing educational development.
In his response, the Rector, Professor Salihu Sanusi Avidime, described the visit as significant and appreciated the SUBEB Chairman for the goodwill and commitment shown toward the Polytechnic.
He acknowledged the critical role played by SUBEB in laying a solid foundation for basic education in Kogi State, noting that the quality of foundational learning has a direct impact on students’ academic performance at higher levels.
Professor Avidime reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s commitment to working closely with SUBEB to promote quality education, strengthen institutional collaboration and support initiatives that will ensure sustainable academic growth and human capital development across Kogi State.
