Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Public Administration Department Wins BAMSA Inter-Departmental Debate Competition
The Department of Public Administration at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has emerged as the overall winner of the Business and Management Students’ Association (BAMSA) Inter-Departmental Debate Competition.
The competition was held as part of the association’s “BAMSA Festival of Excellence,” bringing together students from various departments under the Business and Management Students’ Association to compete in debate and quiz contests designed to promote academic excellence, leadership and healthy competition.
Speaking on the initiative, BAMSA President, Rt. Hon. Emediong Peter, said the Festival of Excellence was established to identify talented students, encourage intellectual competition and prepare them for leadership roles within and outside the academic environment.
He also appreciated the Polytechnic management, the Dean, Heads of Departments, members of staff and invited guests for their continued support toward students’ academic and personal development.
The Department of Public Administration impressed judges with its outstanding eloquence, critical thinking, teamwork and confidence throughout the competition, outperforming other participating departments to secure the championship title.
The victory further highlights the department’s commitment to academic excellence and reinforces its reputation for producing intellectually sound graduates equipped with leadership skills and administrative competence.
The achievement has been widely celebrated within the Polytechnic community, with students and stakeholders congratulating the department for its remarkable performance.
The BAMSA Festival of Excellence continues to serve as an important platform for promoting intellectual development, innovation and healthy academic competition among students of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic.
