Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Tops National Ranking as Management Celebrates 3rd Anniversary in Grand Style

The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, has reaffirmed its reputation as Nigeria’s leading tertiary institution, securing the first position in the latest national institutional ranking conducted by Pole Global Marketing, an international evaluation body.

The ranking, endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Education, assessed over 180 higher institutions across the country—including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education—based on their performance in blackboard implementation and adoption, academic excellence, innovation, institutional management, and community impact.

In a statement to journalists on Sunday, October 5, 2025, the Rector, Dr. Mukail Aremu Akinde, FCA, FCIT, expressed profound gratitude to God for the remarkable recognition, describing it as both a milestone and a motivation as the institution’s current management marks its third anniversary in office.

Speaking on behalf of the Governing Council and the entire Polytechnic community, Dr. Akinde praised the dedication of his management team, staff, and students, whose collective commitment, he said, made the institution’s latest success possible.

He gave special commendation to the Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT), led by Dr. (Mrs.) Jumoke Soyemi, for its outstanding contributions and consistent delivery of innovative solutions that continue to set the Polytechnic apart from its peers.

“This achievement is not just a celebration but a call to greater commitment, excellence in service delivery, and sustained innovation in all areas of our institutional growth,” the Rector stated.

With this latest national ranking, the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro has once again proven its place as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s higher education system, reinforcing its status as a hub of academic distinction, innovation, and leadership in the polytechnic sector.
