ABOUT FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ILE-OLUJI

In July 2014, the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, was established via a presidential pronouncement. For the first year, management was able to move from a zero starting point at Gboluji Grammar School to occupy a set of 14 2-bedroom flats as an administrative office complex, acquire the Mega School for use as an academic take-off campus, and acquire a 150-hectare land parcel for use as a permanent site for the Polytechnic.

The polytechnic is hosted in the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo local government area of Ondo State. Most of the common businesses in Ile-Oluji are farming, fishing, buying and selling foodstuffs, agribusiness, boutiques, and commercial motorcycles. The community also has a market that is opened every 4 days where farmers sell their products to traders who usually come from other local government to the community. The cost of foodstuffs, especially fruits, vegetables, and bush meat is cheap in the polytechnic community.
