What Does HND Top-Up/Conversion Mean?

HND to Degree Top-up, also known as conversion, is a programme for polytechnic graduates who wish to convert their HND certificate to B.sc. This programme usually takes a duration of 1-2 years. For example, if you want to convert your HND to a BSC, you can do so through a conversion or top-up programme, which is only available in universities. Some polytechnics also run this programme in affiliation with universities.

This programme is recommended for graduates who wish to further their education and also to avoid the dichotomy between HND and BSc certificates. There are lots of universities and institutes that offer this programme.

The Top-up programme is also for university graduates who were unable to stand out academically during their first degree due to one challenge or the other.
