Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku Eyes Gold at NIPOGA 2024

The 22nd edition of the Nigeria Polytechnic Games Association (NIPOGA) officially kicked off on April 2, 2025, at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, in a colorful ceremony that brought together athletes and dignitaries from across the country.
With the theme “IJAKADI 2024,” this year’s event promises intense competition as over 50 polytechnics and more than 4,000 athletes—both male and female—compete for medals in various sporting events.
Among the institutions vying for glory is Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, which arrived with a strong and determined contingent. The institution’s Rector, Bldr. Professor Emmanuel Achuenu, who also serves as the Vice President of NIPOGA, graced the opening ceremony alongside his management team, the Chairman of the Sports Committee, and other top officials.
NIPOGA 2024 is expected to not only foster sporting excellence among Nigerian polytechnics but also promote unity and showcase raw talents that could rise to national and international prominence.
