Kaduna Poly SUG Drops Strict Warning: No Orientation or Activities Without Approval—Defaulters Face Immediate Sanctions

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Kaduna Polytechnic has issued a strong warning to all departments, unions, clubs, and societies, emphasizing that no orientation or activity will be tolerated without prior registration or re-registration.
In a circular released by Comr. Iliyasu Ridwan, the SUG Secretary General, and co-signed by the Public Relations Officer, Comr. Bilal Ibrahim Attajiri, the union has made it clear that failure to comply with this directive will attract serious consequences.
According to the statement, any student group that proceeds with unapproved events will face the following penalties:
- Immediate cancellation of the event.
- Intervention by security personnel to shut down the venue—even if the event is already underway.
- Suspension of the involved union, association, or department without delay.
The directive cites Article XIV of the SUG Constitution, which mandates registration through the Office of the Secretary General and the Dean of Student Affairs before any activities can take place.
“This serves as a strong reminder that no student body is above the constitution,” the SUG stated, warning that non-compliance will not be overlooked under any circumstances.
Students and associations are urged to strictly adhere to this policy to avoid disruptions and sanctions. The memo stands as the final warning from the SUG for the 2024/2025 session.
