Osun State Polytechnic Declares Emergency Mid-Semester Break, Postpones Matriculation Ceremony

In a considerate move responding to student appeals, the management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has officially declared a mid-semester break starting from Thursday, April 10 to Wednesday, April 16, 2025. The break is intended to give room for students who are yet to pay their school fees and complete registration to do so.
This decision, announced through an internal memorandum signed by the Registrar, Abiodun O. Oloyede, comes after several students expressed difficulties in meeting financial and registration deadlines.
As a result of the break, the highly anticipated Matriculation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session, originally scheduled for Thursday, April 10, has been postponed. A new date for the event will be announced in due course.
“All students are therefore enjoined to avail themselves of this break and pay all their fees and complete their registration as no further appeal shall be entertained,” the statement emphasized.
This unexpected development highlights the institution’s commitment to student welfare, while also setting a firm stance on academic and administrative deadlines. Students are urged to take full advantage of this grace period to regularize their status within the institution.
