The development is part of the institution’s ongoing infrastructure expansion aimed at improving student welfare and enhancing the learning environment.
The Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, announced that construction work on the modern student hostel will commence immediately following the formal handover of the site to the project contractor, Engr. Philip Onome. The initiative underscores the institution’s commitment to providing quality campus facilities that meet the growing needs of its student population.
Represented at the event by the Dean of Student Affairs, Comrade Chibuzor Asomugha, the Rector assured the contractor of full administrative support throughout the project lifecycle. She emphasized the importance of delivering a high-quality structure that meets established standards within the agreed timeline.
According to Comrade Asomugha, the institution’s leadership prioritizes transparency, accountability, and excellence in project execution. He reiterated that the Rector expects strict adherence to specifications, timelines, and professional standards to ensure the successful completion of the hostel project.
In his remarks, the project consultant advised the contractor to maintain best practices in construction, follow all regulatory procedures, and ensure timely delivery without compromising quality. He stressed that attention to detail and compliance with industry standards would be critical to the success of the project.
Responding on behalf of the construction team, Engr. Philip Onome assured the management of his commitment to delivering a durable and high-standard hostel facility. He pledged to work closely with the institution’s management, maintain open communication, and complete the project within the stipulated timeframe.
