Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa Announces Resumption Date for Second Semester 2024/2025 Session Amid Strike Recovery

The management of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa has officially announced Monday, February 24, 2025, as the resumption date for the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Session.
This decision was made during the institution’s 511th Academic Board Meeting held on Friday, January 31, 2025. The adjustment comes as part of measures to compensate for the two-week academic disruption caused by the ASUP Warning Strike.
In an internal memo signed by Usman Faruna, Deputy Registrar (Academic Board), students were urged to adhere strictly to the resumption date to ensure a smooth academic transition.
The Polytechnic’s management also congratulated students on their successful completion of the First Semester of the 2024/2025 session and assured them of continued efforts to maintain academic stability.
The memo was circulated to essential personnel, including the Rector, Deputy Rector (Academic), Registrar, Bursar, Polytechnic Librarian, Deans, Heads of Departments, Directors, Unions, CSO, and SUG, as well as displayed on all notice boards for student awareness.
While some students welcomed the news, others expressed concerns about the impact of the strike on their academic calendar. Many, however, are eager to return to class and make up for lost time.
