“UI Faculty of the Social Sciences is an integral part of the University,” says VC

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, has emphasized the crucial contributions of the Faculty of the Social Sciences to the university’s image and development.
He highlighted the local, national, and global relevance of the faculty’s staff, students, and especially its alumni, saying that the Faculty had no doubt brought ovation to the University.
Professor Adebowale gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by the members of the Faculty of the Social Sciences to his office.
He congratulated the faculty on the establishment of the new Department of Employment Relations and Human Resource Management and encouraged existing departments to provide moral support to ensure the comprehensive development of the new department.
The VC acknowledged the needs for new physical structures to accommodate offices and classrooms for the expansion of the Faculty and assured that they would be addressed.
The Dean of the Faculty of the Social Sciences, Prof. E. E. Nwokocha expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for his contributions to the faculty’s development, including the crucial role he played in the establishment of the new Department of Employment Relations and Human Resource Management
He explained that Professor Adebowale had recently funded the venue for the faculty conference and refurbished the Faculty Health Hub.
Prof. Nwokocha urged the VC to consider the extension of the faculty building to provide additional office spaces and lecture halls.
