PLASU Academic Calendar for 2025/2026 Session

The management of Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the calendar signed by the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, academic activities for the new session will kick off on Monday, September 29, 2025, with the commencement of online registration for fresh students. Returning students will follow suit from October 6, 2025, while lectures begin on October 13, 2025.
The first semester will run through 22 weeks, including 15 weeks of lectures, 4 weeks of examinations, and 3½ weeks of marking and approval of results. The semester will also include freshers’ orientation, matriculation, and Christmas break before winding up with examinations in February 2026.
The second semester begins on March 2, 2026, and is expected to span 18 weeks. It will include 12 weeks of lectures, 3 weeks of examinations, and 3 weeks for results processing and approval. Industrial attachment for eligible students will commence in June 2026, while academic staff will observe annual leave between July and August 2026.
The calendar also indicates that the academic year will formally end on September 4, 2026, with the conclusion of industrial attachments.
This development provides clarity for both students and staff as they prepare for another academic year at Plateau State University.
