Ogbondoroko Community Pays Courtesy Visit To FEDPOFFA Rector


…Rector urges community representatives to extend love, peace to the Polytechnic Students in Ogbondoroko

The Rector, Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin has admonished the indigenes of Ogbondoroko community to extend love, peace, and compassion to the Polytechnic students who are living in the community.

The Rector disclosed this during a meeting with the community leaders in his office on Tuesday 22nd of August 2023.

In his words, Engr. Dr. Kadiri noted that extending charity to other people’s children comes with multiple rewards as no one knows what the students can become in the future. He added that the assistance rendered to students in time of need is highly rewarding with payback.

According to him, “…Extend love to our students living in Ogbondoroko as every kindness shown to students will always bounce back. No one knows tomorrow and the children of nobody today will become somebody tomorrow. Your relationship with our students while they are living in your community matters. Be kind to them and embrace them like your children, the reward for it will come one day unexpectedly.”

While expressing gratitude to the community leaders who visited him, he hinted that the management has enlisted the name of the community among other beneficiaries of the Polytechnic Corporate Social Responsibility support to further foster the mutual relationship between the Polytechnic and Ogbondoroko community.

Speaking further, Dr. Kadiri reiterated on peaceful coexistence between the Polytechnic and its neighboring communities, he emphasized on peace as an important element that will facilitate more growth and development in the community.

While corroborating the Rector’s remarks, the Deputy Rector Academics, Dr. Mrs. Mulikat Bola Aliyu commended the community leaders for their courtesy visit to the Rector. Dr. Mrs. Aliyu described the Rector as a straightforward leader who will never give empty promises to be applauded. While advising the entire community to treat the Polytechnic students in their domain with love, she urged them to remain optimistic as the Rector will do whatever that is within his capacity for the community judiciously.

The village head of Ogbondoroko, Chief Muideen Issa appreciated the Rector for embracing the community representatives with humility and for giving candid responses on what the management is capable of doing regarding the community demands without mincing words. He prayed for the successful administration of the Rector and prayed for both the Polytechnic and Ogbondoroko community to continue to grow and progress.

Ogbondoroko is a neighboring community that shares boundary with the polytechnic before the permanent site campus.

Present at the meeting were: Ag. Director of Works and Services, Engr. Lateef Bello, Senior Special Assistant to the Rector, Mrs. Justina Egbele, Ag. Legal Adviser, Barr. Esther Faremi among others.
