Federal Polytechnic Idah Fixes Final Registration Deadline for ND I and HND I Students, Announces ₦10,000 Late Penalty

The management of the Federal Polytechnic Idah has announced the commencement of final registration and documentation for all National Diploma I and Higher National Diploma I students for the 2024/2025 academic session, warning that failure to comply within the approved period will attract financial penalties.
According to an official notice issued by the Admission Division, the final registration and documentation exercise will begin on Monday, 19 January 2026, and will close on Friday, 6 February 2026. The exercise is mandatory for all affected students, as it serves as the final stage of confirming student records and official enrollment into the institution.
The polytechnic directed all ND I and HND I students to report to the New Convocation Square for the documentation exercise. Registration will be conducted daily from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm throughout the stipulated period. Management emphasized that any student who fails to complete the final documentation within the approved timeframe will be regarded as not fully registered as a student of the institution.
The notice further stressed the importance of the exercise, describing final documentation as a critical requirement for academic recognition, access to institutional services, and participation in academic activities. Students were strongly advised to treat the exercise with utmost seriousness to avoid unnecessary complications.
In addition, the institution announced that any student who fails to meet the registration deadline will be required to pay a surcharge of ten thousand naira as a late registration penalty before their records can be processed.
Heads of Academic Departments have been instructed to ensure that the information is communicated to all affected students to guarantee full compliance.
The notice was signed by S. Idegwu, Assistant Chief Executive Officer in charge of Admissions, Federal Polytechnic Idah. Students are advised to complete their registration promptly to avoid penalties and ensure uninterrupted academic activities for the session.
