Bauchi Varsity Reopens Amid ASUU Strike

The Management of Bauchi State University has announced the resumption date for the continuation of Academic activities.
This decision follows the emergency meeting held by the governing Council where it was resolved that the university be reopened immediately.
The School management said that the industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has affected the institution therefore it becomes necessary for the school to reopen.
This was contained in a circular signed by the school’s registrar dated 6th September, 2022.
“Sequel to an emergency meeting of the Governing Council of the University held on Tuesday, 6 September, 2022 where it reviewed the industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as it affects the University, it directed the University to be opened for academic activities immediately…
“Therefore, all Deans. Heads of Department/Linits are directed to bring this notice to the attention of all academic staff as appropriate.”
