Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi: Computer Science HND 2 Students Celebrate Their 2024/2025 Graduation in Grand Style

The atmosphere at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP), Bauchi, was filled with excitement and joy as the 2024/2025 Higher National Diploma (HND) 2 students of the Department of Computer Science celebrated the completion of their academic journey.
The event, held on campus, marked a major milestone for the graduating students who have spent years acquiring both theoretical and practical knowledge in computing, networking, and information technology.
Dressed in colorful attires, the students celebrated with music, dance, and photo sessions, expressing gratitude to God, their lecturers, and families for the support throughout their studies.
Speaking at the event, one of the graduating students, Muhammad Abubakar, described the day as a dream come true. “It’s been a long journey filled with challenges, sleepless nights, and projects, but today we give glory to God for seeing us through,” he said.
Another student, Fatima Ibrahim, noted that the program has not only improved her technical skills but also prepared her for real-world challenges in the tech industry. “We’re ready to explore opportunities in software development, cybersecurity, and data analysis,” she added.
A senior lecturer in the department, Engr. Abdulmalik Yusuf, congratulated the graduating students for their resilience and hard work, urging them to continue learning and to contribute positively to Nigeria’s growing tech ecosystem. He emphasized the importance of continuous self-development, especially in areas like artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and digital entrepreneurship.
The celebration also featured group photographs, cutting of the graduation cake, and an after-party organized by the students.
The HND 2 Computer Science set of 2024/2025 is regarded as one of the most innovative groups in recent years, with several students excelling in software development projects and tech-based entrepreneurship.
As they bid farewell to the campus, many expressed mixed emotions — happiness for completing their studies and nostalgia for the friendships and experiences built over the years.
With their academic journey now complete, the students look forward to their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) postings and future opportunities in Nigeria’s expanding digital economy.
