7 Things You Must Never Do as a Student Inorder to Graduate

Being a student is a full responsibility on its own, and to be a successful student and achieve what you want in life, there are some things you must never do, no matter the circumstances, as these things can ruin your academic career. Below are 7 important things you must never do as a student:

 1. Sleep with Your Lecturer. 

It is possible for a lecturer to ask you out to be his girlfriend or wife; please note that you have the right to say no and let your no be “no way.” Sleeping with a lecturer in exchange for grades is one of the things you must never do as a student.

Most lecturers will promise you a good CGPA, while some will threaten to fail you if you refuse to sleep with them. These are just empty threats; they can do nothing if they see that you are a serious student and committed to your goals.

 2. Spend Your School Fees.

Many students could not graduate after falling into the temptation of spending their school fees unnecessarily. Some students use their school fees on birthday photoshoots, to buy new phones, flex, and spend on women.

As a student, your school fees are the most important thing, as without it, you will not be allowed to write exams or complete your registration. Without examination, you have no result or certificate to tender. Once you get your school fees, pay on time to avoid the temptation of spending it. Please don’t make this mistake of investing your school fees on any business or do other things to avoid stories that touch.

3. Join Cultism. 

As a student who wants to achieve his or her goal in life and graduate without issues, cultism should be the last thing on your mind. You may be tempted to join them due to their flashy lifestyle, but the moment you do, your life is already at risk, and your academic career will be ruined too. Most schools expel students involved in cultism. It is crucial for students to recognize the consequences of cultism and stay away from it.

 4. Attendance.

Attendance is very important for all students, irrespective of their discipline. Most schools and lecturers use attendance to award marks, and losing such marks can affect your CGPA at the end of the semester. Unless you are sick, do not make the mistake of missing your class; these little things that students overlook can cost them not to graduate.

 5. Examination Malpractices.

Examination malpractice has been the reason why most students couldn’t graduate with their colleagues. Some schools expel students involved in exam malpractices, and if you don’t want your parents’ money to be a waste, just do your best and leave the rest in the exam hall; you can’t afford to lose your studentship. Make studying your regular habit and discourage yourself from carrying an expo to the exam hall.

 6. Gambling.

The love of money has pushed some students to the wall of gambling, as most of them hope to get double of what they stake. Unfortunately, things may not go as they expect after losing their money for feeding, school fees, and registrations on Bet9ja, SportyBet, and the likes.

In order for you to graduate, gambling is one of the important things you must avoid as a student. You may be tempted or inspired to give it a try, but it is up to you to reject such temptation; otherwise, this thing will ruin your life.

 7. Use Fake Documents for Admission.

There are some students who are eager to get admission to universities and colleges, and they go by any means to get what they want, even at the expense of submitting fake documents or results.

Remember, using fake results to secure admission will lead to expulsion from the school should the school authority discover it at any time. Also, you may be sacked from work and your appointment terminated if your secret of using fake documents gets exposed.
