The mission of the college is to promote the production of skilled technical and professional middle and higher-level manpower for the development and sustenance of agriculture in Nigeria. To conduct research in the various areas of Agriculture and Related Discipline for Self-reliance and National Development.

The college offers courses leading to the award of National and Higher National Diploma Certificate. The college also offers professional courses to candidates to qualify as agricultural extension workers.
