Kano State Polytechnic School Fees for 2025/2026: Full HND & ND Tuition Breakdown for Indigenes and Non-Indigenes

Kano State Polytechnic has officially released the approved schedule of payment for the 2025/2026 academic session, providing clarity for prospective and returning students preparing for the new school year. The breakdown covers tuition fees for National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Pre-ND/Remedial programmes, with separate rates for indigenes and non-indigenes.

The updated fee structure is expected to guide thousands of applicants seeking admission into the institution, especially those planning their finances early or applying for student loan support. The management has also included additional statutory charges such as acceptance fees, departmental registration fees, and union dues.

According to the published schedule, tuition fees vary depending on programme level and residency status. HND One indigenes are required to pay ₦52,000, while their non-indigene counterparts will pay ₦132,000. HND Two indigenes are to pay ₦43,000, compared to ₦123,000 for non-indigenes.

For National Diploma students, ND One indigenes will pay ₦40,000, whereas non-indigenes will pay ₦100,000. ND Two indigenes are expected to pay ₦34,000, while non-indigenes will pay ₦94,000. The Pre-ND and Remedial programme fee stands at ₦20,000 for both indigenes and non-indigenes.

Beyond tuition, newly admitted students are required to pay an acceptance fee. ND and HND candidates will pay ₦10,000, while Pre-ND students will pay ₦7,000. This payment confirms admission and secures a candidate’s slot in the institution.

All students are also required to pay a school or departmental registration fee of ₦3,000. Additionally, ND and HND students must pay ₦1,500 as union dues.

The institution advised candidates to complete their registration before the end of February to enable them to apply for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), as the application window is expected to close by the end of February. Early registration is therefore strongly recommended for students intending to benefit from federal student loan support.

POLYTV notes that early publication of tuition fees helps families make informed financial decisions, particularly in a period when inflation and cost of living remain major concerns. The clear distinction between indigene and non-indigene fees also reflects the institution’s policy framework in supporting residents of Kano State while maintaining access for students from other states.

Prospective students are encouraged to review the full breakdown carefully and budget for all required payments to avoid delays in registration or course enrollment.
