Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi is a State-owned institution in Plateau State, North Central Nigeria. The institution has 2 campuses, one at Barkin Ladi and the other at Jos, the capital of the state.
The Plateau State Polytechnic is a statutory organ, established and owned by the Plateau State Government. It is fundamentally a diploma awarding institution, although it also awards certificates and hopes to award degrees in the near future. Its academic programmes are regulated and supervised by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), a Federal Government owned parastatal.
The Mission of the polytechnic is to serve students at the undergraduate, graduate and continuing education levels; in engineering technology, the sciences, humanities and professional programmes. “We work to develop the broader community’s intellectual, cultural, economic and human resources facilitated by our innovative faculty, dedicated staff and supportive campus environment.”
The polytechnic is located along Yakubu Gowon Way, Jos, Nigeria.
